High Trees Carpentry & Building Ltd is a Bournemouth-based building contractor led by Tom Stevens, a skilled carpenter and joiner with over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry. We specialise in residential extensions, loft conversions and substantial renovations across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, the New Forest and surrounding areas.
Tom remains closely involved from the initial site visit and quotation through to construction and completion. We work with a trusted network of experienced local carpenters and specialist trades, bringing together the right people for each project while giving our clients a clear point of contact throughout the build.
Our carpentry background remains at the heart of High Trees and gives us a particular focus on workmanship, detailing and the quality of the finished project. Combined with careful project management, clear pricing and a respectful approach to working in occupied homes, our aim is to make substantial building work as straightforward and well organised as possible.

We work with homeowners, architects and designers to deliver carefully planned residential building projects, with particular attention to structure, detailing, cost control and the quality of the finished work.
CUSTOM CARPENTRY
Carpentry is at the heart of High Trees and remains an important part of the extensions, loft conversions and renovation projects we deliver. From structural timber work and cut roofs through to doors, flooring, fitted joinery and detailed second-fix carpentry, we bring a high standard of craftsmanship to the building work as a whole. Our carpentry-led approach helps us achieve a considered, consistent finish throughout the completed project.

We specialise in larger residential building projects, particularly house extensions, loft conversions, structural alterations and substantial home renovations. Our carpentry background also allows us to manage the detailed timber and finishing work that forms an important part of many of these projects.

Changes to the agreed scope are discussed and priced before additional work is carried out wherever reasonably possible.

We manage completion, snagging and handover in an organised way and remain available if something needs attention afterwards.
